Overview
Don Kalonga is an MSc Intern under the Statistical Support Unit (SSU) and Bacterial & Drug Resistant Infection (BDRI) research group at MLW. He is currently studying for a MSc in Biostatistics at University of Malawi – Chancellor College.
His research project is about spatio-temporal modelling of the 7 sub-lineages of H58 Salmonella Typhi so as to contribute to the solution of mitigating further outbreaks of antibiotic resistance typhoid fever in Malawi. His goal is to do a PhD in Biostatistics or Data Science where he wants to specialise in spatio-temporal disease modelling.
