Public Health

Wezzie Kamanga, Pre-MSc Student

I am a medical doctor with a passion for public health and epidemiological approaches to disease prevention. In a medical model, more efforts are concentrated towards the treatment of disease rather than prevention or health promotion, consequently overburdening the healthcare system. My work focuses on identifying barriers to the prevention of both communicable and non-communicable diseases. I am looking to start a career in internal medicine and clinical epidemiology.
