Leah is the Research Nurse within the Viral Immunology Group. She obtained a diploma in Registered Nursing and Midwifery from the Malawi College of Health Sciences in 2016. She is in the penultimate year of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences-Development Studies at Catholic University of Malawi. Leah is registered with Malawi Nurses and Midwifery Council of Malawi and has clinical trial experience.
Currently, she is part of a study investigating the role of developmentally regulated microRNAs in neonatal immunity. Her major interest is in relating the community perceptions, values and beliefs to research. Leah’s long-term goal is to pursue a Master’s degree in Medical Anthropology or Global Health.
