PhD candidate
Nyashadzashe Marapira is a PhD candidate at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, based at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Research Programme with a background in audiology and considerable experience as a clinical audiologist in Zimbabwe. As an early-career researcher, her current research focuses on improving access to hearing care in underserved communities, particularly through low-cost hearing devices and community-based models in low-resource settings.
She is passionate about advancing equitable, sustainable, and culturally appropriate hearing healthcare and has authored one publication (a short communication) focusing on audiology awareness in Zimbabwe.
