Tracy Chasima-Macheso is a social scientist at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Research Programme, specialising in community engagement and community health. Tracy’s work focuses on air pollution, climate and health, and co-creation of interventions using participatory methods to improve communities’ access to health services.
Her expertise includes participatory action methods, community engagement, and qualitative analysis. Tracy has co-authored several publications in PLoS ONE and BMJ Global Health, including Using a food-energy nexus lens to explore people’s experiences of the cooking journey in African informal settlements and Exploring the use of solid fuels for cooking and household air pollution in informal settlements through photovoice: The Fuel to Pot study in Ndirande (Malawi) and Mukuru (Kenya).
