MLW trainees highlight importance of research capacity building in Africa to UK parliamentary Group in Westminster

Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust clinical research programme’s (MLW) postdoctoral candidate Sanie Sesay and MLW’s associate director Wilson Mandala discussed the importance of capacity strengthening in research in Africa to tackle malaria at a meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Malaria Group (APPMG) in Westminster, London.

The APPMG is dedicated to discuss issues relevant to malaria and its control. Over the last 10 years their focus has been primarily on issues surrounding drug and insecticide  development, insecticide and drug resistance and financing.
