Prisca Benedicto

Prisca Benedicto is an Immunology PhD student under Virology group at Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust Clinical programme and she is jointly registered under the University of Liverpool and University of Malawi, College of Medicine (COM). Her PhD project focuses on investigating immune Imprinting effects of an oral live attenuated rotavirus vaccine RV3-BB in Malawian Infants.

Prisca holds a Master’s degree of science in Infection, Immunity and Human diseases from University of Leeds, UK and she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (Honours) from COM. She is passionate about conducting immunological cutting-edge research in infectious diseases that will help inform vaccine policy in Africa and across the globe. Her long-term goal is to lead high impact studies in immunology and infectious diseases after pursuing Postdoctoral studies in vaccine Immunology. She also seeks to help in training a future generation of scientists through supervision, mentorship and lectureship.
