Alice is the Research Nurse within the Viral Immunology Group. She obtained a diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from Joseph College of Nursing in 2011. She is in the penultimate year of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences-Development Studies at Catholic University of Malawi. Leah is registered with Malawi Nurses and Midwifery Council of Malawi and has clinical trial experience.
Currently, she is part of a study focusing on investigating factors that explain ongoing high prevalence of pneumococcal colonisation in HIV-infected adults on antiretroviral therapy. Alice’s long-term goal is to help contribute to the reduction of high disease burden in Malawi.
