Professor Nick Feasey

Having completed clinical training at the Royal Free, Nick Feasey specialized in Clinical Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology, firstly at St George’s London and subsequently spending three years in Malawi at MLW and then a year at the Wellcome Sanger Institute (WSI). Nick moved to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2014 as Senior Lecturer, with a remit to expand tropical bacteriology research, and returned to Malawi in 2017 to establish the Bacterial And Drug Resistant Infections Group. Nick became a Professor of Clinical Microbiology at LSTM in 2019 and his research in Malawi now focuses on febrile illness and antimicrobial resistance. He holds an appointment as Honorary Professor in the Department of Microbiology at the College of Medicine.
