Associate Lecturer at the College of Medicine Dr. Kondwani Katundu has been awarded the CORE MLW-CoM Post-doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) Fellowship. Kondwani will be implementing a project titled “The Role of Nutrition in Cardiometabolic and Infection Diseases” in the Non-Communicable Diseases Building Research Capacity, Implementation, and Translation Expertise’ (NCD-BRITE) Research Group.

“I am excited and grateful for this prestigious award! The award will go a long way towards my growth in leading and executing research projects at Post-doctoral level as I journey towards becoming an independent researcher. With the available senior support, I am confident that I will attain my goals over the period of this award, and that the research results will contribute to the body of knowledge and influence clinical practice and policy in Malawi,” said Katundu.
